Boy Shadow was created at a moment of peace and calmness and I must have had thoughts of my grandson in mind.  Most of my painting is intuitive and as usual I scraped several layers of colors onto the canvas starting with shades of tan and brown, yellow oxide, pale blue and red.  When I added the last two layers of transparent white and transparent black across the painting, he showed up.  Ta Da!!!
