Patty Ann Sykes

Patty was born in Huntington, W. Va. She is the oldest of four
children raised in the Appalachian foothills of Southern Ohio.
Growing up in a rural setting helped shape Patty to appreciate
the love of nature which is evident in her work. Her love of art
began at an early age when a 7th grade project was on display at the
Huntington Museum of Art in Huntington, W. Va.

She works mostly in oils and also likes to paint with colored pencils.
She has attended many national workshops and the Columbus College of Art and Design. She has studied with Contemporary Artist, Robert Warren, Wildlife Artist, Dorenda Watson and Plein Air Artist, Chuck Marshall. Patty lives in Canal Winchester, Ohio and works from her studio, The Ridge Art Studio. She has won many awards and her paintings are in many public and private collections including the Berger Health System and Eramo and Sons, Inc. Patty is a member of Oil Painters of America, The Colored Pencil Society, and The Ohio Plein Air Society. Her work is currently on display at various monthly shows throughout the Midwest.
