About Me

I enjoy painting the essence of nature - it seems to soothe something in my soul. Sometimes my artistic translations come in the form of floral paintings, sometimes landscape or seascape paintings, and even sometimes more abstracted versions of the natural world. Painting in water media has predominately been my choice so far, although I do enjoy experimenting in other media including graphite, pastel, oil and mixed media. To further support my artistic life I have become more involved in digital photography and after living in the wonderful country of Canada most of my life I now find myself living in the state of Hawaii where very different kinds of visual inspirations are everywhere.

During the last couple years I have taken a few art classes or workshops with wonderful artists, but mainly I am a self-taught artist. I just love the whole process of research, study and practice. I always choose to work with high quality archival paints and supports - they are such a pleasure to create with.
