I often use strong value contrasts as part of my design and a white swan is perfect against a dark, warm background, giving it a classic, traditional look. This oil painting has a 3/8 inch deep wrap- around linen support.

The painting is framed in a floater frame, which gives the illusion that it is “floating” in the frame.

Being an artist is a lifestyle. Creating art is a process that goes on in my head all the time. As a kid, my favorite school time was always making art. When I got to high school I couldn’t believe I’d get to go to art class every day! After college I worked in commercial art for a lot of years. Finally, in the mid-90’s I was able to organize my home studio and paint for myself. I’ve moved through many stages of artistic development, experimenting with mediums, styles, and subject matter.
