About Me

Being an artist is a lifestyle. Creating art is a process that goes on in my head all the time. As a kid, my favorite school time was always making art. When I got to high school I couldn’t believe I’d get to go to art class every day! After college I worked in commercial art for a lot of years. Finally, in the mid-90’s I was able to organize my home studio and paint for myself. I’ve moved through many stages of artistic development, experimenting with mediums, styles, and subject matter.

Living in the country affords me unlimited subject matter in a beautiful, image-soaked environment. I feel lucky to be able to drive around my “neighborhood” of farms, pastures, forests, and lakes and collect enough visual information for a lifetime of paintings – every time I go out! [Read More …]
